Cherry Blossom Time In DC

It was cool (about 37 F) Saturday, 29 Mar and the Cherry Blossoms were at their peak. I got there about 8 AM hoping to beat the crowds - almost! There were already a few hundred people scattered around the tidal basin. The early morning sun gave the light pink and white blossoms a reddish blush. Here are a few images.

Some of the folks at the first administrative meeting are pictured here. I'm sure you will recognize some of if not all of them. Little Tom was at the far end of the table and to the right (out of sight).
The 2 ladies standing in the 2nd photo are the"ring leaders" and are doing a great job!
I will be assisting where I can (like with the Miracle Mile). Gary Harvey and I will be doing that with whoever will assist. Kevin was not in attendance - but he may be there to help out as his schedule permits. They are plaqnning on having 2 sparate groups; one at Daingerfield and one on the W O & D trail.

The Virgina Bike group

01 March - Saturday morning ride. I managed 19 miles with a 15 mph headwind.
Gary is doing very well - Kevin & I have not been putting in the miles to keep up.
